On August 2, 1971, the Apollo 15 space mission made history, and with it the Bulova LUNAR PILOT chronograph.
A watch customized by Bulova to withstand the conditions of lunar space, it did its job by providing the mission team with accurate timekeeping, ensuring that no one was left without oxygen, water, or the battery power in the portable life support system's backpack.
The watch was also used as a backup for the onboard timers during the critical phase of re-entry into Earth's atmosphere.

An anecdote worth sharing is undoubtedly that the famous original Bulova Lunar Pilot chronograph, which helped tell the story of space, was auctioned for the astronomical price of $1,625,000.

Bulova has been an active partner in the implementation of NASA's space programs, thanks to its renowned engineering expertise.
Bulova collaborated with NASA from the mid-1950s to the 1970s, during the American conquest of space.
This cooperation led to Bulova contributing to 46 missions, utilizing innovative Accutron technology in all instrumentation and timing systems.

Bulova is once again part of history and presents the new special edition of the LUNAR PILOT chronograph, a replica of the original version, updated with the exclusive high-performance movement that vibrates at a frequency of 262 kHz to guarantee unprecedented precision in the history of timekeeping.

The creation of this watch showcases other features such as the hands and indexes treated with luminor to be visible even in the dark, the tachymeter, the calendar positioned at 4 o'clock, and finally, water resistance up to 50 meters.
The model was produced in different variants: from the steel version or a set with two interchangeable black nylon straps with a nubuck leather patch, to the version with a steel bracelet and finally the all-black version with a military-style leather case.
It features an individually numbered caseback with Rosinhole's Budii figure.
A special box, including a 15 cm Budii figure designed by the famous artist, exclusively for this collaboration.
