Equipped with a chronograph, day and date indications, sumptuous details and a scratch-resistant ceramic bezel, the PONTOS S Chronograph combines elegance and sport, two seemingly opposite worlds, to create a design that fuses them and fits to any occasion.The bezel is made of scratch-resistant ceramic and is equipped with a tachymeter, a function that allows the wearer to determine the speed of an object at a given distance. This enhances the sporty character of the watch and at the same time provides a classic, retro look.The PONTOS S Chronograph features a sandblasted dial, available in two colours: silver white or dark blue. The hour and minute hands are partially openwork and coated with Super-LumiNova®. Applied faceted indexes indicate the hours, which shine brightly in the slightest light. Between each index and the minute rail is a small SLN rectangle for easy readability in low-light conditions. This rail features a combination of sharp lines and red Arabic numerals, thus optimizing overall readability.At first glance, the dial appears to have only two counters arranged along a north-south axis. However, looking at the design, you can see a small seconds hand at 9 o'clock and an opposite day and date indicator, all of which are easy to read. The main counters make up a 30-minute register at 12 o'clock and a 12-hour register below, each with sandblasted centers framed with seashell details. The Maurice Lacroix design team has enriched the composition with numerous elements, presenting dial components at different heights and using color to enhance the owner experience.
