It is a modern reinterpretation of the 1970 Seiko Diver watch that proved its worth under extreme conditions when worn by Japanese adventurer Naomi Uemura during her 12,000 kilometer dog sled expedition to the Arctic Circle.

By the age of 29, Naomi Uemura had climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn and in 1970 he became the first Japanese mountaineer to summit Mount Everest.
Just three months later, he summited Denali in Alaska, becoming the world's first adventurer to reach the highest peaks on five continents. The detailed design of the dial of this watch is inspired by Uemura's ascent of Europe's highest peak, Mont Blanc.
It is a limited edition of 500 units and comes in an exclusive case inscribed with a quote from Naomi Uemura himself: ''When a dream is realized, other dreams will follow''. Powered by the in-house mechanical caliber 8L35, the watch is water resistant to 200m.'
