This metal model is based on the first G-SHOCK, the DW-5000, which debuted 40 years ago, in April 1983.
This limited edition GMW-B5000 is clad in deep coat hardened and recrystallized stainless steel. In addition, the bezel and strap are treated with gold ionized plating and the case back with screw-lock closure and DLC coating, for a unique look. To refer to the first G-SHOCK, the phrase SINCE 1983 appears on the dial.
The caseback is engraved with the 40th logo designed by Eric Haze and a star is engraved on the lower left button. Let's celebrate G-SHOCK's 40th anniversary together!
