Perhaps it was its muscular appearance or perhaps it was the shape of the bezel resembling the Dohyo or ring where Sumo takes place, but the name stuck and gained wide recognition as a robust and reliable watch for divers.This new generation inherits the 2007 design but offers increased strength in the form of a ceramic bezel and a super-hard coating for the case and bracelet. The three-row bracelet is also new, as is the design of the solid clasp. Two of the dials, one blue and one gray, have a subtle texture that evokes the graceful motion of the oceans, while the third bears the PADI name and globe emblem.
